Our Symbols

We view ourselves as your risk partners in insurance matters, which are, at times, a minefield to navigate.

The Meaning of the symbol of Sankofa:

The concept of Sankofa is derived from King Adinkra of the Akan people of West Africa. Sankofa teaches us that we should reach back and gather the best of what our past has to teach us, so that we can achieve our full potential and move forward. Whatever it is that we have lost, forgotten or been stripped of, this can be reclaimed, revived, preserved and perpetuated.

We have therefore chosen the name Sankofa as the basis of our business philosophy, because it has two important perspectives that apply to our business in that as a business we have decided to use the knowledge we have acquired over the years in the insurance broking industry and the relationships that we have nurtured, developed and forged over the years to empower ourselves in running our own business and becoming the masters of our own destiny.

The second aspect applies to insurance as a service or product in that because we all do not know what the future holds for us, but are very much aware of the misfortunes that can befall any of us whether in business or in our personal capacities, we should use this knowledge to employ the services of insurance brokers who are well placed in the insurance industry to advise and arrange the appropriate insurance covers for us so that should these misfortunes occur, we can then be placed in the same finanicial position as we were prior to the occurrence of the misfortune or loss.
